Method

  1. Step 1. Dry roast the sesame seeds in a heavy pan over low heat until golden and fragrant, then cool slightly.
  2. Step 2. Melt the jaggery with the water and ghee over low heat until it forms a soft, sticky syrup.
  3. Step 3. Stir in the roasted sesame seeds and mix quickly and thoroughly.
  4. Step 4. While still warm, shape into small ladoos (about 20 g each) with lightly greased hands.
  5. Step 5. Cool completely before storing in an airtight tin.
