Method

  1. Step 1. Dry roast the broken wheat in a pan for 2–3 minutes until fragrant, then set aside.
  2. Step 2. Heat the ghee, splutter the cumin seeds, then sauté the onion until soft.
  3. Step 3. Add the tomato, turmeric and vegetables and cook for 3–4 minutes.
  4. Step 4. Stir in the roasted dalia and water, bring to the boil, then simmer covered for 12–15 minutes until soft.
  5. Step 5. Serve hot in a katori (about 200 g per portion).
