IUI (intrauterine insemination)

Prepared sperm placed into the uterus around ovulation.

IUI is simpler and cheaper than IVF, but needs at least one open tube and reasonable sperm quality. Success per cycle is modest, so clinics usually advise a limited number of attempts before moving on.
