OHSS ranges from mild bloating to a serious illness with fluid accumulation and breathing difficulty. Risk is higher in polycystic ovary syndrome and with a strong response to stimulation. Contact your unit urgently with severe abdominal pain, rapid weight gain, vomiting or breathlessness.
