PGT involves an embryo biopsy and laboratory analysis. It can reduce the chance of transferring an affected or chromosomally abnormal embryo, but it cannot guarantee a healthy baby and adds cost and complexity. Availability in Nigeria is limited and samples may be sent abroad.
