ART covers treatments where eggs, sperm or embryos are handled in a laboratory, most commonly IVF. CDC collects national ART surveillance data from US clinics, which is why national and clinic-level outcome reports exist. Ovulation induction alone, and IUI, are generally not counted as ART.
