Miscarriage

Pregnancy loss before 20 weeks.

In US practice, pregnancy loss before 20 weeks of gestation is described as miscarriage or early pregnancy loss. Most occur in the first trimester and are caused by chromosomal abnormalities rather than anything the pregnant person did.
