Embryologists perform ICSI, assess fertilisation, grade and culture embryos, carry out freezing and thawing, and prepare embryos for transfer. In Australian clinics they usually give the daily update calls during a cycle. You can ask to speak with an embryologist about your specific results — it is often the most informative conversation of a cycle.
