Treatment
An IVF cycle involves ovarian stimulation, egg collection under sedation, fertilisation in the laboratory conventionally or by ICSI, several days of embryo culture and an embryo transfer. Suitable surplus embryos can be frozen. Age at egg collection is the strongest single predictor of outcome.
