Pregnancy
Pre-eclampsia affects blood pressure and organ function, usually after 20 weeks, and requires close monitoring. Risk is higher in first pregnancies, multiple pregnancies, some donor-egg pregnancies and with certain medical conditions. Low-dose aspirin from early pregnancy is offered to those at increased risk.
