Our recipes use a 15 ml tablespoon. The standard Australian tablespoon holds 20 ml, so use three level teaspoons where a tablespoon is listed.

Method

  1. Step 1. Heat the oven to 170°C (150°C fan) and line a slice tin with baking paper.
  2. Step 2. Mix the oats, flour, coconut, macadamias and seeds in a bowl.
  3. Step 3. Warm the syrup and oil together, dissolve the bicarbonate of soda in the boiling water, stir it in and pour over the dry ingredients.
  4. Step 4. Press firmly into the tin and bake for 18 to 20 minutes until golden. Cool completely before slicing.
