Our recipes use a 15 ml tablespoon. The standard Australian tablespoon holds 20 ml, so use three level teaspoons where a tablespoon is listed.

Method

  1. Step 1. Heat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan) and line a tray with baking paper.
  2. Step 2. Blitz the soaked chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, spices and flour in a food processor until it holds together but is still coarse.
  3. Step 3. Shape into 16 small patties, brush with oil and bake for 22 to 25 minutes, turning once, until golden and cooked through.
  4. Step 4. Serve with hummus, the diced salad and warmed pita.
