Female fertility
Adenomyosis causes heavy, painful periods and a bulky uterus, and is associated with lower implantation rates and higher miscarriage risk. It is usually diagnosed on ultrasound or MRI. Management before transfer may include a period of hormonal suppression, decided case by case.
