A realistic budget includes the cycle fee, medications, ICSI or genetic testing if used, freezing and annual storage, travel and time off work — and the possibility of more than one attempt. Ask each clinic for an itemised written quote and what is not included, and check what happens financially if a cycle is cancelled.
