Gonadotropins include recombinant FSH products and urinary-derived preparations containing FSH with LH activity. They are given as daily subcutaneous injections, usually with a pen device, and require refrigeration or specific storage as stated on the product's Canadian labelling. Your clinic and pharmacy will teach the exact device technique — devices differ, so follow the instructions for the product you are actually dispensed.
