Hormonal suppression before treatment

Combined oral contraceptives or progestins are sometimes used before stimulation to schedule the cycle, coordinate a group start or manage cysts, and longer suppression is sometimes used in endometriosis before transfer. Suppression prevents conception while it is being taken, which is expected and temporary.
