Fertility basics
In Canada, a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist has completed residency in obstetrics and gynaecology followed by subspecialty training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. They lead fertility assessment and treatment, including IUI and IVF. Access is usually by referral from a family physician, nurse practitioner or gynaecologist.
