Method

  1. Step 1. Bring the water to the boil, stir in the oats and reduce to a gentle simmer.
  2. Step 2. Cook for 20 minutes, stirring now and then, until thick and tender.
  3. Step 3. Add the milk, grated apple and cinnamon and simmer for a further 5 minutes.
  4. Step 4. Serve topped with chopped walnuts.
