Method

  1. Step 1. Brown the beef in the oil in a large pot, then set aside.
  2. Step 2. Soften the onion and carrot, then stir in the tomato paste.
  3. Step 3. Return the beef, add the broth and potatoes and bring to a boil.
  4. Step 4. Simmer covered for 90 minutes until the beef is tender and fully cooked.
  5. Step 5. Cool leftovers quickly and refrigerate or freeze in portions.
