Method

  1. Step 1. Brown the chicken lightly, then add the onions, carrots, potatoes, savory and broth.
  2. Step 2. Simmer, covered, for 25 minutes until the potatoes are tender and the chicken reaches 74°C.
  3. Step 3. Mix the flour, baking powder and milk into a soft dough.
  4. Step 4. Drop spoonfuls onto the simmering stew, cover and cook for 12–15 minutes without lifting the lid.
  5. Step 5. Check a dumpling is cooked through before serving.
