Method

  1. Step 1. Brown the chicken in a large pan, add the carrots and cook for 5 minutes.
  2. Step 2. Stir in the flour, then gradually add the broth and milk, stirring to a smooth sauce.
  3. Step 3. Simmer for 10 minutes, add the peas and corn, then tip into a baking dish and cool slightly.
  4. Step 4. Heat the oven to 200°C, lay the pastry over the top, seal the edges and cut vents.
  5. Step 5. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and piping hot (74°C in the centre).
