Asthenozoospermia

Asthenozoospermia means the proportion of moving, and particularly progressively moving, sperm is below the reference range. Causes include infection, varicocele, prolonged abstinence, smoking, heat exposure and problems with the sperm tail. Sample handling matters, so an unexpectedly poor result is usually repeated.
