Male fertility
Sperm concentration is the number of sperm per millilitre of the sample, reported as million/ml. It is different from the total sperm count, which multiplies concentration by the volume of the ejaculate. Values fluctuate considerably between samples, so one low result is usually repeated after several weeks before conclusions are drawn.
