Witnessing

Witnessing is the formal identity check performed at every step where gametes or embryos are handled, by a second staff member or an electronic system. It exists to prevent mix-ups. You will also be asked to confirm your identity repeatedly on the day of collection and transfer — that repetition is deliberate.
