Australian ART units are assessed against a code of practice covering laboratory quality, staffing, consent, counselling and record-keeping, historically through the Reproductive Technology Accreditation Committee. Following the 2025 rapid review, governments agreed to move towards an independent accreditation model. Australia's ART regulation and accreditation arrangements are being reformed following the 2025 national rapid review, so the responsible bodies may change.
