Conditions
Conditions such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease and thyroid autoimmunity can affect fertility, pregnancy risk and which medicines are safe. Most are best managed by conceiving during a period of stable disease, with a medication review beforehand — some drugs must be stopped well in advance, while stopping others abruptly is more harmful than continuing.
