Donor conception
Donor sperm is used by single women, same-sex female couples, and couples affected by severe male factor infertility or a genetic condition. Australian donors are screened medically and genetically, must consent to their identifying information being available to the donor-conceived person, and are not paid beyond reasonable expenses. Assisted reproductive treatment, donor and surrogacy law differs between Australian states and territories. Check the rules that apply where you live and where your clinic is located.
