Treatment
In IUI, washed sperm are passed through the cervix into the uterus with a fine catheter at the time of ovulation. It is used for unexplained infertility, mild male factor, cervical issues, and commonly for single women and same-sex female couples using donor sperm. It is quick, usually painless, and less costly than IVF, with lower per-cycle success.
