Treatment
Elective single embryo transfer is standard practice in Australia. Twin pregnancies carry substantially higher risks of preterm birth, pre-eclampsia and neonatal complications, and transferring one embryo at a time with the rest frozen gives a similar cumulative chance of a baby with far fewer of those risks.
