Fertilisation rate

Fertilisation rate is the number of eggs showing normal fertilisation, divided by the number of mature eggs inseminated or injected. Typical laboratory averages sit around two-thirds to three-quarters of mature eggs, but individual cycles vary widely and a lower rate in one cycle does not necessarily repeat. Your clinic should explain how your rate compares with what they usually see, and what it might mean for the next cycle.
