Fertility basics
Implantation rate is a laboratory and clinical quality measure: the number of gestational sacs seen on ultrasound divided by the number of embryos transferred. It is used to compare techniques and embryo groups in research rather than to predict an individual result. With single embryo transfer now standard in Australia, it closely tracks the clinical pregnancy rate per transfer.
