Testing
Before IVF, IUI or storing eggs, sperm or embryos, Australian clinics test both partners for HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C and syphilis. This protects laboratory storage arrangements and guides safe handling. A positive result does not necessarily prevent treatment, but it changes how samples are stored and may require a specialist unit.
