Microdissection TESE uses an operating microscope to identify the tubules most likely to contain sperm, removing less tissue than conventional TESE. It gives the best retrieval rates in non-obstructive azoospermia and is performed by urologists with specific training, coordinated with the IVF laboratory on the day.
