Male fertility
In obstructive azoospermia the testes make sperm normally but they cannot get out — because of vasectomy, infection, previous surgery or congenital absence of the vas deferens. Hormone levels and testicular size are usually normal, and surgical retrieval by PESA or TESA nearly always finds usable sperm for ICSI.
