Chronic endometritis

Persistent low-grade inflammation of the uterine lining.

Female fertility

Chronic endometritis is diagnosed on endometrial biopsy with CD138 staining and is treated with antibiotics. Its role in implantation failure is debated but it is often investigated after repeated unsuccessful transfers.
