Difficult transfer

Sometimes the catheter cannot pass easily, and a stiffer catheter, a tenaculum, cervical dilation before the cycle or transfer under sedation may be needed. A traumatic transfer with bleeding may reduce the chance of success, which is why mock transfers are useful.
