Donor treatment & family building
Donor sperm is used by solo parents, female same-sex couples and where there is severe male factor or a genetic condition. Samples must meet Health Canada's Safety of Sperm and Ova Regulations, including screening and quarantine. Much of the supply used in Canada is imported from regulated banks; your clinic can explain which sources it accepts.
