Eggs, sperm & embryos
Egg freezing follows the same stimulation and retrieval steps as IVF, stopping before fertilisation. Success later depends heavily on age at freezing and the number of mature eggs stored. It is used both for medical reasons before treatment that may harm fertility, and electively.
