Retrograde ejaculation causes dry or very low-volume ejaculation and is associated with diabetes, spinal injury, prostate surgery and some medications. It is confirmed by finding sperm in post-ejaculatory urine, and sperm can often be recovered from alkalinised urine for treatment.
