Smoking, vaping and fertility

Smoking reduces fertility in all genders and raises pregnancy risks.

Pregnancy after treatment

Smoking is associated with reduced ovarian reserve, earlier menopause, poorer sperm parameters, lower IVF success and higher miscarriage and ectopic risk. Vaping is not established as safe in pregnancy. Provincial quit services and pharmacy support are available free in most of Canada.

Also known as: quitting smoking, e-cigarettes, nicotine
