Fertility basics
Unexplained infertility is diagnosed when ovulation appears normal, the tubes are open and the semen analysis is within normal limits, yet conception is not happening. It affects roughly one in four couples assessed. It means current tests found nothing, not that nothing is wrong. Treatment usually moves through timed ovulation induction with IUI, then IVF, depending on age and how long you have been trying.
