A registered ART clinic is one that has been granted registration under the ART (Regulation) Act, 2021 and appears on the National ART & Surrogacy Registry. Registration confirms that a clinic has met the requirements for staffing, equipment, consent processes and record keeping set out in the Act and Rules, and that its registration has not been suspended or cancelled. Before starting treatment, patients can search the National ART & Surrogacy Registry to confirm a clinic's current registration status. Treatment sought from an unregistered facility falls outside this legal framework and carries additional risk.
