Anovulation

Anovulation means ovulation is not happening. It is a common and treatable cause of infertility, often linked to PCOS, thyroid disease, high prolactin, very low or very high body weight, intense exercise or approaching menopause. It is usually suspected from irregular or absent periods and confirmed with hormone tests, and treatment aims at the underlying cause or uses ovulation induction.
