Cryostorage

Cryostorage keeps vitrified material at around minus 196 degrees Celsius in liquid nitrogen tanks with alarmed level monitoring and topping-up schedules. Because the tanks are passive, they are not directly affected by power interruptions, though monitoring systems and the wider facility need backup power.
