Pregnancy after treatment
The due date, or estimated date of delivery, is roughly 40 weeks from the notional last menstrual period. After IVF it is calculated from the embryo transfer date and embryo stage, and is later confirmed or adjusted by an early scan. Only a small minority of babies arrive exactly on the date.
