Eggs, sperm & embryos
The fertilisation report, usually a phone call the morning after egg collection, gives the number of mature eggs and how many fertilised normally. It is an anxious call for most people. Normal fertilisation of roughly two-thirds of mature eggs is typical, and lower numbers do not automatically mean the cycle will fail.
