Intramuscular injection

An intramuscular injection goes into a large muscle, most often the upper outer buttock, and needs a longer needle than a subcutaneous injection. Some progesterone and trigger products are given this way. Many people need a partner or nurse to help; ask your clinic to demonstrate before your first dose.
