Male fertility
Morphology describes the shape of the sperm head, midpiece and tail. Using strict criteria, even fertile men typically have a small percentage of normally shaped sperm, so a low figure alone is not a diagnosis. Very low morphology may influence whether a clinic recommends ICSI rather than conventional IVF.
