The trigger injection completes the maturation of the eggs and is given at a precisely specified time, usually about 34 to 38 hours before egg collection. Timing is critical: giving it late or early can mean immature eggs or ovulation before the procedure. Your clinic will tell you the exact time; follow their instruction rather than any general guidance.
