Beta hCG blood test

A quantitative beta hCG measures the exact hormone level. Clinics use it around 9 to 14 days after transfer to confirm pregnancy, and often repeat it 48 hours later, since a healthy early pregnancy usually shows a substantial rise. Slow or falling levels may indicate an early loss or an ectopic pregnancy and need close follow-up.
